Faroxy tablets manufactured by Faran Shimi pharmaceutical company, contain oxycodone hydrochloride. Oxycodone belongs to a group of medicines called opioid analgesics. Faroxy is supplied in 5 mg, 15 mg, 30 mg tablets for oral administration. 10 tablets are packed in a blister and 3 blisters are packaged in one box with a leaflet.
Faroxy tablets are an immediate-release oral formulation of oxycodone hydrochloride indicated for the management of moderate to severe acute pain where the use of an opioid analgesic is appropriate.
Store at 20° to 25°C and protect from moisture and light.
• Use this drug as ordered by your doctor.
• Use one or two tablets daily, with the main meal and a full glass of water.
• Swallow whole. Do not chew, break, or crush.
• Avoid using more than the recommended dose.
• Tell your doctor and pharmacist about all of your drugs (prescription or OTC, natural products, vitamins)
• Medications for high blood pressure: saffron might lower blood pressure.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant.
• Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
• Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
• If it’s close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
• Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
If you think there has been an overdose, call your doctor, pharmacist, or other health care provider right away.
• Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
• Bipolar disorder: use with caution in patient with bipolar disorder.
• Diabetes: Saffron might affect blood sugar levels and cause hypoglycemia, use with caution in diabetic patient.
• Stop taking saffron at least two weeks before a scheduled surgery.
All drugs may cause side effect. However, many people have no side effects or only have minor side effects. Call your doctor or pharmacist if any of these side effects or any other side effects bother you or do not go away.
Saffron is likely safe in recommended amounts, nausea or vomiting, Headache and allergic reactions can occur in some people.
