It is used to maintain normal blood glucose levels and better glucose utilization, long-term glycaemic control, and prevention and management of diabetes and related complications.
Dosing
• Adults and children aged 18 and above: One tablet once daily
• Dosing: Renal Impairment:
Use with caution in severe impairment.
• Dosing: Hepatic Impairment:
Use with caution in severe impairment.
• Administer with food and full glass of water.
• Iron absorption is inhibited by eggs and milk.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant.
• Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
• Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
• If it’s close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
• Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
If you think there has been an overdose, call your doctor, pharmacist, or other health care provider right away.
• Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
• Severe hepatic impairment
• Severe renal impairment
• Severe iron toxicity may occur in overdose, particularly when ingested by children.
• Do not use more than the recommended amount.
Side effects have rarely been seen in recommended doses.
Signs of an allergic reaction, Black or tarry stool, Fever, Upset stomach, Belly pain, Stomach cramps.
