• Use this drug as ordered by your doctor or pharmacist.
• Take this drug at the same time of day.
• Take with or without food.
• Swallow whole with some water or other drink.
Tell your doctor and pharmacist about all of your drugs (prescription or OTC, natural products, vitamins) and health problems.
Especially tell your doctor about taking Gemfibrozil, Niacin, ledipasvir/sofosbuvir, sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir, atazanavir/ritonavir or lopinavir/ritonavir.
• If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant. Farestor may harm your unborn baby. If you become pregnant, stop taking Farestor and call your health care professional right away
• If you are breast-feeding. Farestor can pass into your breast milk and may harm your baby
• Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
• If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
• Do not take 2 doses at the same time or within 12 hours of each other.
If you think there has been an overdose, call your doctor or get medical care right away. Be ready to tell or show what was taken, how much, and when it happened.

• Those who have Active liver disease, which may include unexplained persistent elevations in hepatic transaminase levels
• Patients with age ≥ 65 years, especially inadequately treated hypothyroidism & renal impairment.
• patients who consume substantial quantities of alcohol and/or have a history of chronic liver disease
• Patients with Diabetes.
All drugs may cause side effect. However, many people have no side effects or only have minor side effects. Call your doctor or pharmacist if any of these side effects or any other side effects bother you or do not go away.
Serious side effects may include:
• Muscle Problems: Call your health care professional right away if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness especially with fever. This may be an early sign of a rare muscle problem that could lead to serious kidney problems. The risk of muscle problems is greater in people who are 65 years of age or older, or who already have thyroid or kidney problems. The chance of muscle problems may be increased if you are taking certain other medicines with Farestor.
• Liver problems: Your health care professional should do blood tests before you start taking Farestor and during treatment to check for signs of possible liver problems.
The most common side effects may include:
Headache, muscle aches and pains, abdominal pain, weakness, and nausea.
