Faroxy tablets manufactured by Faran Shimi pharmaceutical company, contain oxycodone hydrochloride. Oxycodone belongs to a group of medicines called opioid analgesics. Faroxy is supplied in 5 mg, 15 mg, 30 mg tablets for oral administration. 10 tablets are packed in a blister and 3 blisters are packaged in one box with a leaflet.
Faroxy tablets are an immediate-release oral formulation of oxycodone hydrochloride indicated for the management of moderate to severe acute pain where the use of an opioid analgesic is appropriate.
Store at 20° to 25°C and protect from moisture and light.
• Patients should have their dosage given on an around the-clock basis to prevent the reoccurrence of pain rather than treating the pain after it has occurred.
• Administer with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or dissolve the tablets.

• Faroxy is not commonly used to treat pain during labor and immediately postpartum (ACOG 209 2019) or chronic noncancer pain in pregnant women or those who may become pregnant.
• Faroxy is present in breast milk. breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment with Faroxy.
• If you take this drug on a regular basis, take a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
• If it’s close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
• Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
If you think there has been an overdose, call your doctor, pharmacist, or other health care provider right away.
• Patients who are hypersensitive (eg, anaphylaxis, angioedema) to oxycodone or any component of the formulation.
• Significant respiratory depression, acute or severe bronchial asthma.
• Known or suspected paralytic ileus and gastrointestinal obstruction.
• Before you start taking Faroxy, be sure to tell your doctor if you have any of the following: Liver or kidney problems, severe hypotension, respiratory or pulmonary disorders such as asthma or shortness of breath, sleep apnea (stop breathing in Sleep), gastrointestinal problems such as obstruction or narrowing of the intestine, mental disorders and taking antidepressants, taking drugs.
• Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
• Talk to your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
• You should not drink alcohol while using Faroxy, as this can lead to loss of consciousness or death.
The most common adverse effects are including: upset stomach or throwing up, constipation, dizziness, feeling sleepy, headache, trouble sleeping, feeling tired, itching, dry mouth, belly pain, diarrhea.
