Faroxy ER _tablets manufactured by faran shimi pharmaceutical company_ contain oxycodone hydrochloride. Oxycodone belongs to a group of medicines called opioid analgesics. Faroxy_ER tablets are an extended release oral formulation of oxycodone hydrochloride and indicated for patients 11 years of age and older , it has a long, proven history of helping manage pain severe enough to require daily, around-the-clock, long-term treatment when other pain treatments, such as non-opioid or immediate-release opioid medications, do not treat your pain well enough or you cannot tolerate them.
Store at 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F) and protect from moisture and light.
Keep all drugs in a safe place. Keep all drugs out of the reach of children and pets.
Dosing:
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 capsule twice daily
Administer with or without food.
Caution should be considered in concomitant use with Iron, Calcium salts, Cardiac glycosides, Warfarin, Fluphenazine, Tetracyclines, Bisphosphonates, Deferoxamine, Quinolones, Immunosuppressant and Contraceptive agents.
• Pelaroka plus should not be used by pregnant women.
• Pelaroka plus should not be used by breastfeeding mothers.
• Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
• If it’s close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
• Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
If you think there has been an overdose, call your doctor, pharmacist, or other health care provider right away.
• Hypersensitivity to P.s. or any component of formulation
• Diseases of the immune system (e.g., MS, SLE, RA)
• Severe hepatic and renal impairment
• Hyperoxaluria
• High doses of vitamin C should be used with caution in patient with Favism (G6PD deficiency).
• If patient’s condition does not improve within one week, fever lasting for several days, shortness of breath, blood in the sputum, yellowing eyes/skin, nausea, vomiting, dark urine, abdominal pain, unusual tiredness and loss of appetite; discontinue medications.
• Stop taking this at least two weeks before a scheduled surgery.
Pelaroka plus is possibly safe, but rarely and in high doses may occurs following side effects:
Hypersensitivity, Hyperoxaluria, Stomach pain, Heartburn, Nausea, Diarrhea.
