Pelaroka Cough & Cold syrup_ manufactured by Faran Shimi pharmaceutical company_ contains an herbal extract, derived from the plant Pelargonium sidoides (P.s), a medicine that indicated for the treatment of acute respiratory tract infections (ARIs) where antibiotic use is unnecessary. Pelaroka Cough & Cold syrup has a unique quadruple action;
Pelaroka is supplied in 120ml bottle and each 5ml contains 13.29mg P.s. extract for oral administration, a bottle is packed in a box with a leaflet.
Used as an Antibacterial, Mucolytic and Immune Booster agent, helps to relieve the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections including Common Cold, Sore Throat, Cough, Runny Nose, Blocked Nose and also used for adjunct therapy in Acute Bronchitis, Sinusitis and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
Dosing
Adults and children over 12 years:
7.5ml three times daily with or without food.
Children aged 6-12 years:
5ml three times daily with or without food.
• Administer with or without food.
• Shake bottle gently before use.
• Pelaroka Cough & Cold comes with a dosage beaker for measuring the correct amount.
• Use for more than two weeks is not recommended.
• Anticoagulant medications (e.g., warfarin) and antiplatelet drugs (e.g. aspirin): An interaction may be possible when Concomitant use.
• Immunosuppressant Drugs: P.s. may decrease the Immunosuppressant drugs effect.
• Pelaroka Cough & Cold syrup should not be used by pregnant women.
• Pelaroka Cough & Cold syrup should not be used by breastfeeding mothers.
• Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
• If it’s close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
• Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
If you think there has been an overdose, call your doctor, pharmacist, or other health care provider right away.
• Hypersensitivity to P.s or any component of the formulation.
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Diseases of the immune system (e.g., MS, SLE, RA).
• Bleeding disorders.
• Phenylketonuria.
P.s. should be used with caution in patients who candidate to surgery; stop taking Pelaroka Cough & Cold syrup 2 weeks before surgery.
P.s is likely safe when taken for up to two weeks. Some people who take it can experience stomach upset, and some might have an allergic reaction (≤ 0.01%).
