Sitagliptin Phosphate is a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, which is used to control glycemia in type 2 diabetes by increasing the insulin response and decreasing glucagon. Inhibition of DPP-4 leads to an increase in glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) and gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP).
