Important Information
How to use Fampiron®?
• Take with or without food.
• Swallow whole. Do not chew, break, or crush.
• Do not take this drug more often than you are told. This may raise the risk of
Seizures.
What other drugs could affect Fampiron®?
Tell your doctor and pharmacist about all of your drugs (prescription or OTC,
natural products, vitamins) and health problems. You must check to make sure
that it is safe for you to take this drug with all of your drugs and health problems.
Do not start, stop or change the dose of any drug without checking with your
doctor.
Is Fampiron® safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant. You will need to talk about the benefits and risks of using this drug while you are pregnant.
• Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding. You will need to talk about any risks to your baby.
What to do if you miss a dose?
• Skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
• Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
What to do if you overdose?
If you think there has been an overdose, call your doctor, pharmacist or other health care provider right away.
Contraindications & Cautions
Who should not use Fampiron®?
• Patients who are hypersensitive to Fampridine or any component of the formulation.
• Patients with severe kidney disease.
• Patients who have ever had a seizure.
Who should use with caution?
• Talk to your doctor if you have kidney disease.
• Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
• Talk to your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
Side Effects
What are some side effects of Fampiron®?
Urinary tract infection, dizziness, feeling tired, back pain and upset stomach.
Storage
How to store Fampiron®?
• Store at 20° to 25°C (room temperature) and protect from moisture and light.
• Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
